District resident Wayne Blake, 24, has been arrested following a lengthy investigation into Moore's death in Northwest DC late last year. Late on Saturday, 1-year-old Upper Marlboro native Journee Moore was the subject of an emergency call in Northwest DC after going into cardiac arrest. Metropolitan Police Officer Shot In Northwest DC, Suspects Detained In Maryland (

A member of the Metropolitan Police Department was shot and injured in Northwest DC on Monday afternoon. An officer was shot in the area of 7th Street and Oneida Place NW at around noon on Monday, May 20 and rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to officials. The shooting was not far from the Fourth District station. Police say that the officer was able to drive his vehicle to the station after being shot and he is being treated and evaluated for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
