6 Evacuated After Car Slams Into Maryland Apartment Building (Photos) Six people were evacuated from two Montgomery County apartments after a vehicle slammed into the building on Tuesday morning, Feb. 13, authorities said. The crash occurred on King James Way in Gaithersburg around 7:25 a.m., Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Spokesperson Pete Piringer said. The Technical Rescue Team stabilized the structure as six people were evacuated from apartments above the area where the car struck, Piringer said. Gaithersburg resident Phillip Kwang Bon Uh, 78, and a woman only identified as his wife, were struck by a Hyundai Santa Fe shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 in the area of Muddy Branch Road and King James Way, according to the Montgomery County Police Department. PA Woman Who Killed Firefighter Nabbed In Maryland: US Marshals A Pennsylvania woman on parole for killing a firefighter was arrested on the run in Maryland, according to the US Marshals. Khanyae Kendall, 23, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty to killing Denny Devoe while he was on-duty in 2017, according to US Marshal Martin J. Pane and court records. Kendall was driving a stolen vehicle under the influence at the time of the fatal crash, court records show. She was sentenced to a prison term of five to 12 years, but on Mar. 10, 2022, she was released under the supervision of the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, according to US Marshal Pane. …
