Massive Fire In Chester Co. Calls Fire Depts. Across PA, MD (Photos, Video)
A fire tore through downtown Oxford overnight on Wednesday, Sept. 13, displacing dozens and devastating multiple buildings, according to Borough leadership.
The blaze broke out on South Third Street between Market and Hodgson streets around 11:30 p.m., affecting six buildings in the Borough’s historic downtown, officials said in a statement.

Two dogs were killed in a massive two-alarm barn fire that caused massive damage to a Washington County property on Friday night.
Shortly after 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, members of the Sharpsburg Fire Department were called to Mansfield Road in Keedysville, where a neighbor reported a barn fire that had broken out, officials said.

Dog Dies In Maryland Trailer Blaze, Fire Marshal Says
A dog was killed in Maryland when a fast-moving blaze broke out in a Washington County trailer, according to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
Late on Sunday, Oct. 9, members of the Fairplay Volunteer Fire Department responded to Sharpsburg Pike in Boonsboro, when a resident living in the trailer reported a fire in the area of the front porch steps.
It took a team of more than five dozen firefighters just 10 minutes to get the flames under control, but not before it caused $30,000 ($20,000 to the structure, $10,000 to its contents) in damage.
