Earlier this month, investigators from the Frederick Police Department launched an investigation involving Internet crimes against children that led them to George Joseph Gutmann, Jr., who was identified as a possible suspect.
This week, officials worked with the county's State's Attorney's Office, and a search and seizure led to the arrest of Gutmann on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at his home.
Gutmann was charged with eight counts each for the possession of child pornography and the solicitation of child pornography from minors, and distribution of child pornography.
