Exploding Bottles Sold Nationwide Recalled Over Safety Fears
More than 110,000 carbonation bottles are being recalled after some have exploded, causing several injuries.
Drinkmate is recalling about 106,200 of its one-liter carbonation bottles, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Aug. 14. About 5,000 bottles were sold in Canada.
According to the CPSC, Drinkmate has received eight reports of bottles exploding while in use. Four cases resulted in injuries such as cuts, impact trauma, and hearing damage.

Werner issued the recall for about 122,250 of its 20-foot and 24-foot Multi-Max Pro multi-purpose ladders, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Aug. 14. The ladders, sold in silver with a blue top and side rail label, feature a long black rope on the back section.

The fall happened around 2:10 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at an apartment building on Oak Leaf Drive in White Oak, according to Montgomery County Police, who are now investigating.

A Montgomery County man with a suspended license was speeding when he veered into oncoming traffic, causing a deadly head-on crash, investigators say.
James Henry Walker, 43, of Dickerson, was behind the wheel of a 2015 Toyota Camry on a suspended license when he crossed the center line on Buckeystown Pike and slammed into a 2014 Hyundai Sonata, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, near Adamstown Road.
