Traffic At Stand Still Hours After Massive Multi-Vehicle Crash On Bay Bridge In Maryland Many drivers opted to simply turn off their vehicles as traffic was stopped on the Bay Bridge for hours due to a multi-vehicle crash involving more than a dozen drivers in Maryland. The busy bridge was shut down on Jan. 27 as first responders in Anne Arundel County worked to clear the scene and investigate what caused the crash, which sent several people to the hospital, according to reports.
