Police say that a homeowner in Prince George's County took matters into his own hands when a burglar attempted to forcibly enter his home, leading to what became a fatal altercation. Officers from the Bowie Police Department were called shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23 to the 2700 block of Balsam Place, where there was a report of a residential burglary.
