Multi-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Stretch Of I-270 In Maryland (Developing) Maryland State Police troopers are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that shut down all northbound lanes of I-270 on Monday morning in Frederick County. First responders were called early on Monday to a stretch of the interstate that left at least five people with undisclosed injuries. Each was taken to an area hospital. An alert was issued shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 after crews responded to the westbound lanes at the I-270 Spur, resulting in multiple lane closures as the incident was investigated.
