Maryland Man Accused Of Using Snapchat To Lure, Assault Teen In Manassas, Police Say A Maryland man is facing serious charges after allegedly using social media to solicit and sexually assault a minor in Prince William County, authorities announced. Elias Samuel Vargas Canaviri, 22, of Silver Spring, was arrested on Nov. 20 following an investigation into the reported assault of a victim under 18 in the Manassas area between Oct. 20 and Oct. 21. According to police, Vargas Canaviri sent sexually explicit messages to the victim via Snapchat before arranging an in-person meeting, where he allegedly sexually abused her during the encounter.
