Osbelia Minh, 34, died on April 13 after her SUV veered off the road and struck a utility pole in the 10400 block of Colesville Road, Montgomery County Police said.

Officers were called to the single-vehicle crash shortly after 10:40 p.m., where they found a black Kia Telluride off the right side of the roadway.

Minh, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. She was the only person in the vehicle. No other cars were involved, officials said.

Minh, remembered by loved ones as “Peaches,” or "Peachez," was far more than just a name in a police report. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and the kind of friend who tried to make every space brighter for those she loved.

“She had a warm, loving soul that touched everyone she met,” her family wrote on a GoFundMe page created to help cover funeral costs and support her children. “She was a light in the lives of all who knew her: fun, outgoing, full of love, and always ready to uplift those around her.”

Friends say "Peaches" had an incredible gift for connection—never judging, never criticizing, always offering love, guidance, and the kind of presence that made others feel safe.

"Her dedication to her family, her strong work ethic, and the impact she made in her community will never be forgotten," friends said. "She was more than just a friend—she was a safe place, a guiding light, and a source of strength."

Her sudden death has left a void in her family and the entire Silver Spring community.

"Peaches… You were always in my corner," another friend added. "Through all the years we knew each other. You were a solid one to say the least.

"We were just talking days ago about getting the kids together and you were (going to) braid (Kaylee's) hair ... You were always a good friend, good mother and all around good person ... Thank you for always being there. This one stings bad."

Nearly $11,000 had been raised within a day of the GoFundMe going live, a reflection of the impact she had on those around her.

“We are raising funds to support her family during this unimaginably difficult time,” organizer Marcela Garcia wrote. “Thank you for helping us celebrate the beautiful life of Peaches and for surrounding her family with the same love she gave so freely to others.”

The crash remains under investigation by Montgomery County Police.
