New details have been released by police following a crash that left a 39-year-old dead she struck a concrete barrier on Friday morning on Route 32 in Howard County. An investigation was launched over the weekend by the Howard County Police Department after the driver of a 2013 Ford Explorer crashed in Columbia, and then was struck by a second vehicle early on Aug. 2, investigators say. Detectives later identified the victim as Columbia resident Toni Williams. The blaze that burned down a Maryland church on Thursday afternoon and caused $1.5 million in damage started in the steeple before rapidly spreading, according to the Maryland Fire Marshal. Police were working to identify the man who was shot and killed in the Columbia Mall in Howard County Saturday, July 27. Police were called to the food court on reports of gunfire where they found 17-year-old Columbia resident Angelo Little dead at the scene around 6:10 p.m., they said. The suspects had left mall property when police arrived, however, there was no ongoing threat or danger to the public. More than a dozen apartments were deemed uninhabitable in Howard County and a firefighter was injured when a blaze broke out early on Saturday morning. The US Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed that a small earthquake could be felt in parts of Maryland on Tuesday morning.
