Forecast: Cool, Dry Weather With Patches Of Brisk Cold

The weekend weather carrying over into Monday will be dry, clear, and cold, according to meteorologists with the National Weather Service.

Friday, Jan. 8, will feel a lot like Thursday, but with slightly less wind and cooler temperatures. The high temperature may reach 40 degrees with a low of 21 predicted for the evening. Winds are expected to be moderate, blowing 5-8 mph during the day and calming a bit in the evening to 6 mph.

On Saturday, Jan. 9, the weather is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 36 degrees and winds blowing 5-8 mph. Clouds are forecast to gather a bit in the evening and the temperature is expected to be a low of around 22 degrees. Nighttime winds are anticipated to blow 6-8 mph.

On Sunday, Jan. 10, the forecast calls for the sun with a high near 37 and northwest winds blowing around 6 mph. On Sunday night the temperature is expected to drop to 17 degrees with winds blowing 5 mph.

More clear, cold weather is predicted for the start of the next work week, Monday, Jan. 11, with an anticipated high near 38 degrees, winds at 5 mph, and a low of 22 degrees.

This type of cool, clear, breezy weather is expected to carry on throughout the week.
