Male Skier, 67, Dies After Crashing Into Tree At On Wachusett Mountain

A 67-year-old man has died after crashing into a tree at a Central Massachusetts ski trail this week, according to officials.

Multiple authorities responded to a report of an unresponsive skier at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton around 9:25 a.m., the company said in a statement sent to Daily Voice.

The male skier was brought to the bottom of the mountain where he was pronounced dead, Massachusetts State Police Spokesperson Procopio said. The man's name has yet to be released.

"The entire Wachusett family is grieving this tragic loss," Wachusett Mountain said in the statement. "All of our thoughts are with the skier’s family and friends."

No other information was available.
