Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate multiple gunshots that were fired into a home in Western Massachusetts.

In Hampden County, officers from the Holyoke Police Department responded to the alley behind 244 Walnut St. shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, where there were reports of gunshots being fired.

The investigation into the incident led to the recovery of multiple shell casings and one live round that were located by officers upon arrival at the scene.

Police said that the rear of the residence on Walnut Street was struck by gunfire, with several hitting the outside of the building and others going through windows and into the home.

No injuries were reported and no suspects have been identified by police investigators.

Anyone who may have information regarding the shooting has been asked to contact the Holyoke Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau by calling (413) 322-6900.
