The Worcester District Attorney has identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a motor vehicle as she attempted to cross the street Wednesday, Jan. 13.
On Thursday, Jan. 14, DA Joseph D. Early Jr. said that a 55-year-old woman died after being hit by a motor vehicle around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Fairlawn Avenue in Oxford.
The victim was Wendy Hibbard, 55, of Oxford.
No charges have been filed and the name of the driver will not be released at this time, the DA said.
The crash is under investigation by the Oxford Police, Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, and the Worcester /county District Attorney’s Office.
