Shrewsbury Woman Injured In Daytime Knife Attack By Familiar Duo

Two women were arrested after attacking and injuring another woman, who authorities said they knew, with a knife in Central Massachusetts.

Police responded to a report of an assault at 18 Julio Drive in Shrewsbury around 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, Shrewsbury Police said on Facebook

Upon arrival, officers learned two other women attacked the victim with a knife and physically assaulted her. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers later saw a suspected vehicle driving away from the residence and arrested the two assailants. Chrislove Bonney, age 31 of Southbridge, and Tanisha Hutchful, age 19, of Worcester, were charged accordingly. 

Police believe the incident was not random and that both parties knew each other. They said there is not threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
