The 24-year-old had several life-long friends, strong familial connections and even served the community as a technician at Patrick Subaru in Shrewsbury "for many years."

Unfortunately, Gleason was killed in a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Grafton Street and Sunderland Road last Saturday, July 23.

Initial investigation revealed Gleason was thrown from his bike and trapped under an SUV that struck him while he while making a left turn onto Sunderland Road, police said. Gleason was pronounced dead at the scene.

"David Gleason was such a good dude man," one Facebook user said. "Anyone that knows him will tell you the same exact thing because that was him- a positive light, a goofball, and a rare truly good person. My heart hurts 😔🙏🏼💙 fly high my boy."

"David was an incredible kid, he was funny, smart and all around a great person," a GoFundMe organized in his honor read. "Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting David would know what an amazing individual he was, I was super fortunate to call him a friend and have him as a part of my family."

The purpose of the GoFundMe was to raise funds to cover the cost of Gleason's funeral. The campaign had exceeded its $3,000 goal as of Wednesday.
