A recent comparison by WalletHub of more than 180 U.S. cities found the best and worst places to seek a mate.

Worcester ranked 66th best on the list of "2020's Best and Worst Cities For Singles."

The WalletHub study considered 32 factors that make a city attractive to singles including local singles population, number of online dating opportunities, cost of going to a movie, and internet connections.

Cities were scored in four categories: Overall, Economics, Fun and Recreation, and Dating Opportunities.

Worcester received high marks for the city’s many dating opportunities - it’s the city with the 29th most opportunities to find love in the nation, according to WalletHub.

Curiously, Worcester received a low grade for Fun and Recreation - 125th out of 180.

The best place to be single, according to WalletHub, is Madison, Wisconsin where there are apparently many opportunities to go on reasonably-priced, fun dates.

The worst U.S. city in which to find love is Glendale, California, the study said. The place is out of control expensive and almost everyone is already married or in a committed relationship.

Worcester isn’t the only local community that made the list - though, it was the one that placed the highest. To see how other cities were ranked, visit WalletHub online.
