$31 Million Mega Millions Jackpot Won Off Ticket Sold In Boston Area Claimed

For only the second time in Mega Millions history, one lottery has had two jackpot winners within three drawings, lottery officials said. 

S & L Trust, represented by trustee Leo J. Cushing, chose the cash option on its prize and received a one-time payment of $16,542,158 (before taxes).

The historic moment was set after a S & L Trust, represented by trustee Leo Cushing, claimed their $31 million Jackpot on Wednesday, March 8, the Massachusetts State Lottery reports. 

The prize was won in the state's game on Tuesday, January 31, officials said. The winning Quic Pic ticket was purchased at Gibbs located at 107 Winn Street in Woburn and had the winning numbers 07-09-18-29-39 and MegaBall 13. Gibbs will get $50,000 bonus for selling the ticket. 

This comes after a $33 million Mega Millions jackpot prize won in the January 24 drawing was on a ticket sold in Belchertown was claimed by Skylark Group Trust on Wednesday, March 1.
