Alberto Sierra Jr., 32, the boyfriend of the Fitchburg boy's mother at the time of his death, was indicted on Wednesday, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. He was charged with murder and disinterring a body, the prosecutor said.

Sierra is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.

Jeremiah was last seen alive in September 2014, but his mother didn't report him missing until December, reports said. His body was found in April 2014.
