Tolland county resident Jaidyn Bolduc, age 11, was killed around 8:15 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, during a two-vehicle crash on I-84 in the town of Vernon, said the. Connecticut State Police.

According to state police,  the crash occurred when both vehicles, a Volvo and a Ford Fiesta were traveling eastbound when they collided for an unknown reason, causing disabling damage to both vehicles.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the Volvo was transported to Rockville General Hospital and later released. 

The operator of the Ford and her front-seat passenger were transported to Hartford Hospital while the back seat passenger was transported to Rockville General Hospital where she died, state police said. 

Jaidyn Bolduc was a resident of Vernon.
