Dimino's Subs, located at 190 Revere Beach Parkway in Revere, announced that they will be closing next month after 54 years in business.

"With a mixture of sadness and profound gratitude, we are announcing that Dimino's Subs will be closing for good on Saturday, June 3," the shop said in a Facebook post. "We will always remain humbled and grateful for the faith you have shown in our product – and in us."

Brothers Joe and Al Dimino opened Dimino's Subs in 1969 with the intention of serving "the best quality food with service in mind,"  the shop's website reads. Joe's son John Dimino took over the business in 1984 and is now looking to retire.

"We once again want to thank you sincerely for your support during the last five decades," Dimino's post said. "It was a wonderful ride, and we send best wishes to you all for a prosperous and healthy future."

Loyal customers flooded Dimino's post reminiscing about their favorite subs and memories at the shop.

"Since 1980 when I moved to Beachmont I have got good subs from there," one person wrote. "I am going to miss the people who have worked there and I wish everyone good luck."

"Will surely miss you, I don’t live in the area anymore but growing up always ate there and/or had coffee with my best friend when skipping Church," another person wrote. "BEST steak & cheese EVER…and your roast beef was excellent too 😋 sorry to see you go but we all retire eventually - best wishes & thank you."
