Authorities are investigating after the body of a 32-year-old woman was pulled from the Charles River in Cambridge late at night, authorities said.

Multiple crews responded to a call about a woman who did not resurface after jumping off the Anderson Bridge in Cambridge around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, Massachusetts State Police said.

Authorities eventually found the woman's body just after 11 p.m., State Police said.

Initial investigation revealed the woman was seen lying on a ledge of the John W. Weeks Bridge before diving into the water. Police said she was not a permanent resident of Massachusetts and her identity is pending positive confirmation from her family.
