Jori Ross died after battling Multiple Myeloma cancer for more than two years on Thursday, May 25, according to her obituary. She was 69 years old.
Despite this crippling disease, Jori took full advantage of her life and "never stopped moving forward in her craft."
"She was hopelessly addicted to human connection, something that was shown through her numerous groups," her obituary reads. "Jori’s connections were never static or passively lived. She always sought to enrich, renew and celebrate her connections."
Among these connections was Jori's passion for gardening. This inspired her daughter Zoe to launch a GoFundMe campaign for a memorial fund in Jori's honor at the Northampton Community Gardens.
"I can't really find more words in this moment but please know we are so grateful for everyone's love and support right now," Zoe said in a Facebook post. "It's a reflection of what my mom put into the world for her entire life."
