A New Restaurant For Northampton? T. Roots Applies For Liquor License

T. Roots Inc. is seeking a new seasonal liquor license in Northampton.

The company, which was founded in May, has plans to open a restaurant at 249 Main St., according to public records. It is the site of the former Viva Fresh Pasta restaurant on the corner of Main and Masonic streets. Viva closed in August 2019.

Owners are applying for a new seasonal wine and malt restaurant license.

A Northampton License COmmission hearing on the liquor application will be held, virtually, Aug. 5 at 4 p.m.

T. Roots president is Hui Lan Tsao, according to the Secretary of State. Pei Yi Fu, of Jamaica Plains, is also listed on the business registration as one of the corporation’s officers or directors.
