Crews responded to the three-alarm fire at 11 Arch Street in North Brookfield around mid-morning on Thursday, March 30, Fire Chief Joseph Holway told Daily Voice.

Holway said the building suffered "extensive damage" as flames spread through the walls and the attic, in which Holway believes the fire started.

Homeowner Timothy McKeage, who was working remotely at the time of the fire, described the scene to the Telegram & Gazette.

“I probably lost everything,” he told the outlet. “We’re all alive, so that’s good.”

Everyone safely exited the building and seven people, who are being helped by the Red Cross, were displaced overall, Holway said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
