12-Year-Old Boy Flown To Hospital After Pulled From Massachusetts Pool

A 12-year-old boy was flown to a hospital in Boston after he was pulled from the bottom of a pool, authorities said.

In Essex County, Groveland Police and Fire crews in Newburyport responded to a report of a medical incident at a pool at a private recreational camp on Bare Hill Road just before 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10. 

Upon arrival, responders found the boy was conscious and breathing after he was administered CPR, both departments said in a statement. 

The boy was originally taken to Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill but was subsequently transported by medical helicopter to a Boston for further treatment. Authorities did not release any other information.
