The staff at Tasting Table compiled their list of "The Best Burgers In the US," and one from an eatery in the Boston area made the cut.

"This pile of decadence courtesy of Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette's Little Donkey in Cambridge is as delightful is it was perplexing," according to Staff Member Catie Duckworth.

"The dry-aged beef patty is piled high with buffalo pickles, onion soup mayo, foie gras, jalapeno chips, and cheese," Duckworth said. "While the burger toes the line between fine dining and bar food, there is no mistaking how this signature dish has gained such a fandom."

That fandom can be seen among several Yelp reviews, with many customers saying Little Donkey's burger is the sole reason they walk through the restaurant's doors.

"I do tend to order a burger when it calls out to me on the menu (i.e. has a lot of stuff on it) - this one definitely hit the spot," one reviewer said. "I loved that it included foie gras, which wasn't overwhelming but ended up being an amazing touch. The cheese was perfectly melted to complement each bite I took, and the pickles weren't too sweet or salty. I wish it was bigger!!"

"The burger alone made this night for us," another reviewer said. "It might be the best burger I've ever tasted. Scratch that. IT IS THE BEST BURGER IVE EVER TASTED. It is a 100/5."

Little Donkey is no stranger to high praise from various media outlets. In 2019, Boston.com included them on their list of "Where to Find the Best Burgers in Boston Right Now."

To check out the hype for yourself, visit Little Donkey at 505 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge from 5-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 5-10:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
