A car being pursued by police plowed into a Western Massachusetts building, injuring three.

The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 23 in Hampden County at the intersection of North Bridge and North Canal streets in Holyoke for a car that drove into a building, said the Holyoke Fire Department.

According to the department, a passenger car with three male occupants was being pursued by South Hadley Police when officers ended their pursuit at their end of the Veteran’s Bridge, but the vehicle continued into Holyoke.

The vehicle crashed into the Holyoke Department of Public Works building at 63 North Canal, the department said.

The Holyoke Fire Department used hydraulic tools to extricate the three occupants, who were transported to the emergency room with serious injuries.
