Kevin Donnellan was indicted on a murder charge of 29-year-old Ryan Anderson on Friday, Nov. 16, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office reports.

Anderson was found dead at 303 Millbury Street after Donnellan called police to the house on Saturday, Oct. 3, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Anderson had significant knife wounds to his body, the DA's Office reports.

When questioned by police whether Anderson had fallen or hurt himself, Donnellan said no. Instead, Donnellan said he saw Anderson alive six hours before and that his neck was slashed, according to court documents. He added that the two had gotten into a fight earlier.

Donnellan was also injured because he tried stabbing himself with a knife in efforts to kill himself, court documents read. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment for his injuries.

The news of Anderson's death shook many among his local community, but had an especially profound impact on those who knew him best.

"You were my person. It was always you and me. No matter how many other friends came in and out of our lives, you and I were constant," one friend said on Facebook. "I love you with everything that I have and I know I’ll see you again someday."

Donnellan was later arraigned on charges of assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, and assault and battery on a household/family member.

He has been held without bail since his arraignment, the DA's Office reports. Donnellan is now expected to be arraigned in Worcester Superior Court on another date, the DA's Office reports.

The investigation is ongoing.
