The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near Exit 8. The impact pushed a 29-year-old Westfield woman's car on top of a guardrail, which made freeing her from the wreck dicey.

State troopers used a police cruiser as a brace to keep the car from sliding so rescue workers could get her out, authorities said.

The woman was taken to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Massachusetts State Police said in a tweet

Authorities believe the woman was stopped in traffic when someone struck her from behind. State troopers are investigating the crash.
