The owner of the Hangar restaurants, aka “Wings Over (town name),” has purchased the old Hofbrauhaus off Memorial Drive in West Springfield, according to MassLive. The purchase price was $500,000.
Renovations are planned for the former German restaurant, which was well known for its food as well as the unique building. Rounded doorways, dark wooden shelves lining the walls, and a thick dark-colored barroom.
Though associated with Memorial, Hofbrauhaus’ address is actually 1105 Main St.
Hangar owner Harold Tramazzo has restaurants across the region, including Wings Over establishments in Westfield, South Hadley, Amherst, Pittsfield, Greenfield, and most recently Agawam. The Wings Over restaurants are known for meaty, crunchy wings, bar food, and a wide beer selection.
