Lexington Park resident Jonathon Jacob Resnick, 48, was arrested twice for repeatedly violating the protective order that was issued for his victim in St. Mary's County.

The new charges were announced by the sheriff’s office on Friday, June 17.

On Thursday, June 9, deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office responded to the 21900 block of Rosewood Terrace in Lexington Park, where there was a reported disturbance.

Upon arrival, a deputy located Resnick, who allegedly argued and yelled with his victim in violation of the court order, officials said, and he was arrested and released.

On Tuesday, June 14, a corporal from the sheriff's department responded to the same block of Rosewood Terrace, where there was a second reported protective violation order.

According to a witness, Resnick was seen yelling at his victim and banging on the door of the residence, again violating the court order before he was apprehended.

Resnick also was reportedly arrested for a similar incident in November 2020 for the same offenses.

In both instances, the sheriff’s office said that Resnick was charged with violating a protective order. No return court date has been announced.
