E. Coli Prompts Recall Of Costco Butternut Squash Sold In Virginia Stores
If you bought butternut squash from Costco recently, it may contain E. Coli.
Safeway Fresh Foods, based in Vineland, NJ, is recalling fresh-cut butternut squash sold in Costco stores in several states, due to E. Coli found during routine testing.
A letter was sent to customers who purchased the product between Sept. 7 and Sept. 15.
The squash product was sold in Costco stores in Washington D.C.; Maryland (Gaithersburg, Frederick, Columbia, Wheaton, and Owings Mills); Pennsylvania (Robinson and Homestead); and Virginia (Fairfax, Sterling, Pentagon City, Leesburg, and Charlottsville).

A Baltimore County woman has pleaded guilty after being charged in the July shooting of her husband that occurred after he allegedly sexually abused children at the daycare she ran, according to multiple reports.
Shanteari Weems, 50, reportedly shot her husband, James Weems, 57, on July 21 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C., after she confronted him about the allegations, as previously reported by Daily Voice.

Juvenile Suspect Apprehended In Connection To Two Sexual Assaults In Maryland, Police Say
A minor is in custody following two sexual assaults in Owings Mills earlier this week, authorities say.
The young suspect was apprehended on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 23 after reports of the assaults the previous two nights in the Lakeside Boulevard area of Owings Mills, according to Baltimore County police.
The first assault occurred around 11:45 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 with the second assault happening around 10:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22, police say.
