No Charges For Officers Probed In Double Fatal Shooting Involving Husband, Wife: Maryland AG
There will be no charges filed against the officers involved in a fatal shooting during the Thanksgiving holiday last year, the Maryland AG announced on Monday following an extensive investigation. Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, officers from the Baltimore County Police Department were called to the 2700 block of Maple Avenue in Parkville to investigate a reported domestic disturbance. Child Pornographer Apprehended By Maryland State Police Investigators
The investigation into an alleged child pornographer in Howard County led to the arrest of a man identified as a suspect by Maryland State Police detectives. Elkridge resident William Gomes, 41, was charged this week after being arrested by investigators from the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit after they developed evidence of possession and distribution of child pornography in the region. The Maryland Attorney General's Office has released its report on a deadly officer-involved barbershop shooting in Baltimore last year. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2021, off-duty Baltimore Police Sgt. David Burch was getting a haircut at Bladi Style Barbershop on O’Donnell Street when Carlos David Ortega walked in and pulled out a handgun from his waistband. A defrocked Philadelphia priest and Maryland resident has been sentenced to prison for lying during an FBI sexual abuse investigation at his church, multiple sources report.
