1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized In Separate Morning Baltimore Shootings: Police

One person has died and two more are injured in two separate morning shootings that happened in Baltimore, authorities said

Police first responded for a reported shooting in the 800 Block of Gretna Court around 6:13 a.m. on Friday, April 15, Baltimore Police said. 

Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old male and 30-year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. The female was pronounced dead at the scene and the male was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said. 

Police then responded to another shooting in the 4500 block of Birchwood Drive around 7:41 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 33-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, police said. 

Initial investigation revealed the man was shot in his backyard by an unidentified male shooter, police said. 

Both incidents are under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact homicide detectives at 410-396-2100 or Southwest District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2488.
