Marcus Grant is an assistant coach of the South River Youth Athletics (SYRA) football team. His son, Teandre, was shot as an innocent bystander "in the wrong place at the wrong time", and is in critical care at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, organizers of the GoFundMe report.

"Teandre was the kind of kid who take the shirt off his back and give it to you", writes SRYA Commissioner Seth Baldwin.

Teandre's father, Marcus, has been a coach at South River for 4 years, becoming a role model for the kids in the Annapolis and South River area, they added.

The athletic community is hoping to use the funds to help pay for expenses related to Teadre's recovery, and relocation costs as the family is scared to go back to the community Teandre was shot in.
