Eastbound Bay Bridge Lanes Blocked After Crash (Developing)

Traffic was tied up on the Eastbound Bay Bridge after a driver crashed and suffered an injury in Maryland, according to officials.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, the Maryland Department of Transportation issued an alert advising that lanes in both directions on the bridge have been blocked due to a crash.

Officials say that the lanes will remain blocked in both directions while first responders evaluate and treat at least one person.

As of 12:05 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, fire and EMS personnel cleared the scene, though traffic remains shut down as they await a tow truck to remove debris.

Motorists can expect delays.
