Shrewsbury Woman Killed In Head-On Crash With Box Truck
A Massachusetts woman was killed when she collided head-on with a box truck on a Hudson Valley road, police said. The crash occurred on Monday, Dec. 2 at around 8:30 a.m., on John Simpson Road in the Putnam County town of Southeast, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. According to authorities, a southbound Honda CRV crossed over the double yellow line and struck a northbound Isuzu box truck head-on. Three $650,000 Lottery Tickets Sold On Same Day
Three people across Massachusetts walked away $650,000 richer after purchasing winning lottery tickets. The tickets were sold at: Turnpike Liquors, 166 Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury O'Brien's Liquor, 1911 Dorchester Ave in Dorchester Gulf Express, 160 Andover St in Danvers The winners played the "100X Cash" game in Shrewsbury, the "$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks" game in Danvers, and the "777" ticket in Danvers. Icy roads make driving hard during winter, but a new study revealed the safest places to drive in Mass, with Marblehead taking the top spot. The study by Boston-based Jason Stone Injury Lawyers looked at 218 locations from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and found places that had at least 500 crashes between 2019 and 2023.
