A 65-year-old man accused of crashing into and killing a couple in Hampshire County last year admitted to his role in their deaths on Wednesday, Oct. 25. He will avoid going to jail if he meets the judge's conditions. Stuart A. Man Charged With Female Roommate's Stabbing Death In Western Mass
A man from Western Massachusetts has been charged in connection with the stabbing death of his roommate, the Northwest District Attorney's Office said. Hampshire County resident Devin Bryden, age 24, was arrested after police found his 21-year-old female roommate stabbed to death at their apartment on Hatfield Street in Northampton on Sunday, July 10, the DA's Office said. A man waiting to pick up his lunch in Western Massachusetts was viciously stabbed in his throat and his assailant went on the run, police said. In Hampshire County, all available Northampton police officers responded to the downtown area at approximately noon on Thursday, March 10, where there was a reported stabbing at an area eatery. Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a Western Massachusetts man. The shooting of the 39-year-old man took place around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Hampshire County in Northampton. Cockfight Organizer Pleads Guilty To Animal Cruelty - More Than 400 Poultry Rescued
A city man has pleaded guilty for his participation in a Northampton-based cockfighting ring that law enforcement broke up in 2018. At the time of the bust, police and animal welfare officials allegedly rescued more than 400 roosters, hens, and chicks from being pressed into the bloodsport.
