Man Hit, Killed In Western Mass. Shopping Center Parking Lot A 77-year-old man was hit and killed walking through a Western Massachusetts shopping center parking lot this weekend.  The man, whose name was not released, was hit around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Big Y Plaza on North King Street in Northampton, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said.  The driver remained at the scene.  The cause of the crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed in the case.

Man, Woman Nabbed In Western Mass In Stolen Vehicle, Police Say  Two people were arrested in Western Massachusetts in connection with an alleged stolen vehicle. Herbert Smith, age 46, of Worcester, and Rachel Keating, age 34, of Springfield, were arrested on Friday, July 16, after police received a GPS location on a vehicle in Ludlow that had been reported stolen earlier in the day. When officers arrived on the scene of where the vehicle was located a the Big Y Plaza, Smith and Keating were inside the vehicle, the Ludlow Police said.
