Fatal Crash: MA Woman ID'd As Victim Following 2-Car Collision

A Massachusetts woman was killed and two others injured following a two-car crash in upstate New York.

The Rensselaer County wreck happened at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the town of Hoosick at the intersection of state routes 7 and 22.

A preliminary investigation found that an 82-year-old Massachusetts woman was driving northbound on SR 22 when she attempted to make a left turn on SR 7 and collided with another car being driven by a 25-year-old Petersburgh woman, New York State Police said.

The front passenger in the northbound vehicle, 84-year-old Claire Boyer, of Wiliamstown, Massachusetts, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Both drivers survived and were taken to Albany Medical Center with leg injuries.
