Qidere Johnson, 30, better known as the socially conscious rapper LGP Qua, was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt near M Street and East Luzerne Street in Juniata Park at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, authorities said.

Charley Scalies, a popular actor renowned for his roles in HBO’s acclaimed series The Wire and The Sopranos, has died.
He was 84.
Scalies died on Thursday, May 1, in a nursing facility located in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease, according to his obituary.
In his notable role as Thomas “Horseface” Pakusa, Scalies appeared in all 12 episodes of The Wire’s second season, which aired in 2003.
