Family Of Salem Father Killed In DC Crash Sues Army, FAA For $500M The Connecticut family of a father of three killed last month in a midair plane crash over Washington, D.C., is suing federal regulators and the Army, claiming negligence led to the fatal collision, their attorney announced. Casey Crafton, 40, of Salem, was among 67 people killed when American Airlines Flight 5342 crashed into a Black Hawk helicopter over Washington, D.C., on Jan. 29. Berlin Man Sentenced To 2.5 Years For Sexually Assaulting Helpless Woman Quinnipiac Dorm A Connecticut man convicted of sexually assaulting a physically helpless woman in a Quinnipiac University dorm in 2020 was sentenced to prison earlier this week, authorities said.
