Strike Ends, Students Return To Woburn Schools
Woburn teachers are heading back to the classroom with a little more cash in their paychecks after reaching a tentative agreement between with the school committee and Mayor Scott Galvin. The Woburn Teacher's Association reached the agreement on Sunday, Feb. 5, just in time to return to school on Monday, Feb. 6. Woburn Teachers Set To Strike After 'Exhausting All Other Options'
After over a year of contract negotiations, Woburn teachers have turned to more drastic measures to reach an agreement with the school committee and Mayor Scott Galvin. The Woburn Teachers' Association announced on Friday, Jan. 27 that the organization had voted to authorize a strike starting Monday, Jan. 30, unless a tentative agreement was reached between the organization and the school committee and mayor, according to the union's Facebook page.
