Three Charged In Connection To Kidnapping In Region
Three Western Massachusetts residents have been charged in connection with a kidnapping. The incident took place in Berkshire County, on Friday, Nov. 26, according to the North Adams Police Department when they responded to a call for a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they heard a gunshot in the area and saw two people run away on foot, police said. A woman, who was a victim of a kidnapping, ran towards the officers. There was no prize inside a box of cereal found in a vehicle during a motor-vehicle stop in Western Massachusetts, but instead, police say they uncovered thousands of bags of heroin. Trooper Scott Boutell was working in Franklin County out of the Massachusetts State Police-Shelburne Falls Barracks just before 12:30 a.m. on Friday, July 16, when he observed a black Subaru Forrester with improper auxiliary lights illuminated and an illegible handwritten temporary license plate, according to state police. Nearly 80 Grams Of Crack, Cocaine Seized Following I-91 Chase
A speeding Kia led to a recent, major drug bust in Franklin County’s only city. On Thursday, Jan. 21, around 7 p.m., State Police Troopers patrolling Route 91 in Greenfield observed a gray Kia sedan allegedly making numerous marked lanes violations while speeding, police said. Troopers flicked on their emergency lights and sirens to get the Kia to pull over, but the vehicle allegedly accelerated and failed to stop for the officers, police said.
