Iconic CT Seafood Eatery Reveals Closing Date After Nearly 30 Years In Business
An iconic seafood restaurant in Connecticut has officially announced its closing date after being in business for almost 30 years. Chowder Pot of Hartford will be closing for good on Saturday, March 25, the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Monday, Feb. 13. This comes after the owners originally revealed that Chowder Pot would be closing on Tuesday, Jan. 3. "It has been bittersweet since announcing our closing," the Chowder Pot wrote on Facebook. Suspect At Large After Threatening Workers With Machete During CT Wendy's Robbery, Police Say
Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery at a Wendy's restaurant in Connecticut in which the suspect threatened employees with a machete. The incident took place in Hartford County around 1:15 a.m., Friday, Feb. 4 at the Wendy's located at 2384 Berlin Turnpike in Newington. According to the Newington Police, a lone man entered the restaurant through an unlocked door while the restaurant was closed to the public.
