Head-On I-495 Crash In Mansfield Sends 3 To Hospital A head-on, multi-car crash Thursday morning, Dec. 5, sent three people to the hospital and forced police to shut down several lanes on I-495, authorities said.  Massachusetts State Police said the crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. in Mansfield. A northbound vehicle veered into the southbound lane and collided with an oncoming car head-on. Three vehicles were involved in the crash.  Firefighters had to cut two drivers out of their vehicles so paramedics could take them to area hospitals. 50-Year-Old Mansfield Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Wrentham Crash Police have identified the 50-year-old man who was killed in a Route 1 crash in Wrentham late last week.  Jose Ocasio, of Mansfield, was critically wounded when he made an abrupt U-turn in his 2014 Mercedes CLA from the center lane and was T-boned by a pick-up truck in the left lane, police said.  Firefighters had to cut Ocasio out of his sedan so paramedics could rush him to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where doctors pronounced him dead. Mansfield Man Killed In Wrentham Crash A 50-year-old Mansfield man was killed on Friday, Aug. 2, in a two-car crash in Wrentham.  Troopers were called to the wreck on Route 1 when a 2014 Mercedes CLA sedan traveling north on Route 1 attempted to make an abrupt U-turn from the center lane, State police said. The sedan slammed into a car in the left lane.  Paramedics rushed the driver of the Mercedes to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries.  Authorities have not released his name as they notify his next of kin. The driver in the second car was not injured.  Police closed a portion of the road …

Police Looking For Truck That Slammed Into Mansfield Fire Engine On I-495, Sped Away State police are asking for the public's help to identify a tractor-trailer that crashed into a Mansfield fire truck on I-495 over the weekend and drove away.  The hit-and-run crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes near Exit 27 in Norton. Fire Engine 33 was being used to block traffic as police cleaned and investigated a car crash that happened earlier that morning, troopers said.  A tractor-trailer truck crashed into the side of the fire engine, causing significant damage to the municipal vehicle.
