Man Nabbed For Driving Drunk, Wrong Way In Darien, Police Say
A man from Massachusetts was arrested for driving his truck the wrong way down a Connecticut road in an apparent drunk driving incident, police reported.
It happened on Sunday, July 23 on Boston Post Road (Route 1) in Darien, according to Darien police.
At approximately 2:15 a.m., police arrived at Post Road on reports that an intoxicated man was driving a white pickup truck in the wrong lane.
When they arrived at the scene, they located Byron Lopez-Najera, age 37, driving slowly around the parking lot of the Mini Cooper dealership on Post Road.

A man led police in a high-speed chase from Boston to Lynnfield and ended the pursuit by crashing the car into concrete barriers, officials say.
The man, who was later identified as Denny Fernandes Dep Pina Andrade, was arrested in Lynnfield on Tuesday, May 16 after stealing a gray Toyota Tacoma truck, crashing into a Mercedes-Benz SUV, and then leading police in a chase that reached up to 115 mph, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

Owner Seeking Help After Vandals Cause $1K In Damage At Roller World In Saugus
A roller rink in Saugus is determined to not let vandals who caused $1,000 in damages skate by, says the rink's owner.
Roller World, located near Route 1, was forced to close on Saturday Dec. 3 after discovering that vandals broke a heavy steel panic bar on a door to the rink's lobby area.
The panic bar, with steel blocks on either end measuring about four to five inches thick, and its hinges were broken, said owner Gerry Breen.
