4 Hospitalized After 'Chemical Irritant' Found At Brookline High School: Officials
Four people were hospitalized and students were dismissed early after a "chemical irritant" was detected at a Boston-area high school, officials said. Brookline High School was evacuated after the irritant was reported coming from a first-floor bathroom near the school's cafeteria on Thursday morning, Nov. 3, Brookline Public Schools said. At least tow students and two staff members were taken to a local hospital for treatment and anyone else impacted was treated onsite, BPS added. A Massachusetts State Trooper's quick eye and a Brookline man's poor hiding skills resulted in him getting slapped with several weapons and drug-related charges. Stewart Silvestri, age 24, was arrested after a Trooper spotted a gun "in plain sight" in Silvestri's car while at a weigh station on I-95 in Rowley on Saturday night, Oct. 15, State Police said. A Boston man could be spending even more time behind bars after being charged with several bank robberies in the Boston area, the US Attorney's Office for Massachusetts reports.
